Today we are 2,000 associates in more than 57 communities that benefit from the processes promoted by the Association.  The achievements have been noteworthy:

The communities are represented by local boards in the Association. The activities are undertaken by commissions, promoters, and coordinators.  A transparent administration has allowed us to strengthen the people’s trust, to take advantage of all resources, and to fortify the evolution of processes.

Processes of Sustainable Development:  Agricultural production is organic, which answers to the Maya cultural concept of “working the land without violence”, or in harmony with nature.

Commercialization of products in Fair Trade: there are organic and artisan products that take part in processes of Fair Trade commercialization.  Quality production: taking part in the Fair Trade chains means a constant effort of the population to maintain products of high quality.  Investing in our own development: a minimum of 10% of the benefits are invested in new productive, education, and health projects.  Cultural Identity: cultural values and development projects have been strongly promoted from the Maya cosmovision point of view.
